About our Safety & Compliance team
The Safety & Compliance team ensures that our robots meet internationally recognized robotics standards and comply with functional safety requirements, so that our customers can rely on robots that are not only powerful but also safe to operate.
As our Robotics Safety Tester, you will be focused on executing tests defined and required by standards relevant for autonomous mobile robots (such as ISO 3691-4, ANSI B56.5, and ISO 13849). These include performing stopping tests that validate the robot can stop in time, validating that each safety function behaves as intended, and exploring worst-case scenarios for safety functions. In addition, you will perform tests of hardware components under fault conditions to confirm system reliability. Testing is executed on real robots in our test facility in Radnička cesta 177, Zagreb (50 m from our offices).
We are looking for a student available for full-time work (or near full-time, 32+ hours weekly).
Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
- execute and document functional tests on robot safety systems
- write detailed and structured test reports
- define test specifications based on the requirements from relevant standards (e.g., ISO 3691-4, ANSI B56.5, ANSI Ria15.08) and adapt them to the specific functions and use cases
- propose solutions and improvements to the current testing methodology
- apply problem-solving skills during testing and investigate the root cause of observed behaviors
- search for worst-case scenarios to reveal hidden weaknesses
- identify and report inconsistencies, and potential risks
- write and maintain documentation related to functional safety and system architecture
- discuss findings and conclusions with the Electrical Engineering team and collaborate on resolving safety-related issues
Your area of expertise:
- currently pursuing studies in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Automation, or a related field
- general understanding of electrical systems
- good skills in writing test reports and safety-related documentation in English
- detail-oriented, organized, and motivated to maintain quality in testing
- interest in robotics and safety standards (e.g., ISO 3691-4, ISO 13849, ANSI B56.5, ANSI Ria 15.08, UL583)
