Director of Deployment - US
About us
At Gideon, we’re transforming the world of logistics with Trey, our autonomous forklift — already deployed in real operations and backed by a strategic partnership with Toyota. You’ll be at the center of real-world deployment, helping customers go live with advanced robotics in high-impact environments.

Our team consists of 100+ super-talented people, including top-notch experts in the field of hardware and software engineering, and is devoted to developing robots with a mission of making people's work easier.
We are an ambitious group of tech enthusiasts with different backgrounds, skills, and experiences, very excited and passionate about what we do! And above all, we cherish team spirit, constant learning and kindness. There is much more to learn, so we hope this piqued your curiosity!
About the role
This is not a typical operations role.
We’re looking for a senior, hands-on leader to own and scale deployment and customer success execution of our AMR solutions across North America. You will take end-to-end ownership — from deployment execution to customer adoption and utilization — ensuring predictable delivery, strong customer outcomes, and scalable growth.
You will define how deployment becomes a repeatable, high-performance capability, not a one-off effort. Customer Success is part of this organization — you are accountable not just for installing systems, but for ensuring they deliver real operational value.
You’ll operate close to the field, working with teams, customers, and partners to ensure deployments run smoothly and consistently — where it truly counts.
Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
This role integrates three core disciplines: field deployment engineering, customer support, and product feedback. You'll bridge the gap between hands-on implementation, direct client interaction, and internal product improvement
Deployment Strategy, Planning & Execution
- Own end-to-end delivery of AMR deployments across multiple concurrent customer sites
- Plan, sequence, and prioritize deployments to ensure predictable execution at scale
- Define and enforce deployment standards, playbooks, and go-live readiness criteria
- Coordinate hardware, software, and operational readiness before site launch
- Align scope, timelines, and dependencies across Sales, Engineering, and Operations
- Reduce deployment cycle time while maintaining quality and reliability
- Increase first-time-right rate through structured validation and execution discipline
- Lead critical deployments and directly resolve risks on high-complexity or escalated sites
- Ensure consistent execution across regions, teams, and external partners
Customer Success & Adoption
- Ensure sites are operationally ready (trained staff, processes, environment) before go-live
- Drive system adoption from day one and track early performance metrics
- Identify and fix gaps in usage, training, or system behavior
- Hold accountability for systems delivering measurable value at customer sites
Team, Partners & Scaling
- Build and manage deployment and customer success teams with clear ownership
- Set and track KPIs (cycle time, deployment quality, utilization, customer outcomes)
- Manage third-party partners and enforce execution and quality standards
- Scale capacity across teams and partners to support growth without loss of quality
Your area of expertise:
- 7+ years of experience in deployment, operations, program leadership, or customer success leadership
- Proven experience scaling field operations or deployment organizations
- Strong background in industrial environments (robotics, automation, logistics, or similar)
- Experience leading both delivery and customer-facing teams
- Experience managing partners or third-party deployment networks
- Strong process-driven mindset with the ability to build scalable systems
- Strong ownership mentality — you own outcomes, not just execution
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Willingness to spend time on-site and close to real operations
Bonus points:
- Experience with AMRs, robotics, or warehouse automation
- Experience scaling deployments from pilot to large-scale rollout
- Experience building deployment and customer success functions together
- Hands-on field experience in on-site deployment or operations
