 About the role

In this position, you will primarily be responsible for providing technical service and support as well as in-field integration process improvements of Gideons robotic products and solutions.

This role requires a strong technical background in robotics, automation, and related systems, combined with excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.  We are looking for a determined problem-solver who inspires confidence in our customers.

You will work closely with our partners and customers, as well as Gideon Engineering and Product teams and be involved in all development stages, from brainstorming with clients and stakeholders to the integration phases of our autonomous mobile robotic systems into logistic, warehousing and manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:


    • Provide on-site, as well as remote technical and functional support & troubleshooting 
    • Provide feedback about issues in the field to Gideon's product and quality teams
    • Collaborate with Engineering team on the creation of test plans, testing of products, problem analysis/trouble shooting based on customer feedback
    • Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting ans supporting robotic systems at customer's sites
    • Perform scheduled maintenance on mobile robots and all associated equipment
    • Assist in building up local customer service centers and assist in handling associated operations
    • Run demos at Gideon's test facilities and customers’ sites 
    • Provide hands-on training to client personnel on the operation and maintenance of robotic systems
    • Actively and continuously update technical skills


Your area of expertise:  


    • BSc or MSc in Software Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience
    • +2 years of experience in robotics, automation, or industrial control systems 
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and software issues
    • Ability to effectively report problems through written and/or graphical formats, collect data, statistically analyze data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Ability to communicate technical information both verbally and in writing
    • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure
    • Good knowledge of electrical instruments and mechanical tools
    • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
    • Basic knowledge of Linux OS and Bash
    • Willingness to travel across the USA
    • A valid driver's license and a valid passport
    • Interest in learning and understanding how different parts of our robot system work (such as navigation, localization, computer vision, and others)
