 About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Engineer to join our team in Zagreb, who is also expected to travel to the US production facility when needed. 


In this role, you will be responsible for making sure that all manufactured products meet the company’s and industry's quality standards. You will be the main person for conducting product and prototype tests to inspect durability and functionality, as well as diagnose problems. 


You will be working in our manufacturing facility located in Zagreb while establishing a strong connection with the US manufacturing part of the organization. It will be required to travel occasionally (20% of the time expected) if deemed necessary to coordinate quality efforts with our US team. 

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:


  • Maintain and improve the quality management system 
  • Monitor and develop performance metrics for all stages of the production process 
  • Assist and advise Warehouse Administrator on the entry-level quality control of goods and materials 
  • Execute commissioning of advanced sensors and control equipment to verify proper operation 
  • Conduct various QC (quality check) tests, during production and on finished products, in line with defined checklists 
  • Determine the root cause of faulty products and propose improvements to the design and processes 
  • In coordination with the Manufacturing Engineer, conduct training for Assembly Technicians and propose improvements to the production process to mitigate detected problems 
  • Providing feedback and updating in-house quality and technical documentation 
  • Conduct experiments and tests on new designs and prototypes to test their fitness for purpose and detect problems 
  • Prepare structured and detailed reports on conducted experiments and tests 
  • Study relevant industry standards and best industry practices and propose improvements accordingly 
  • Prepare regular quality reports 
  • Identify room for improvement to streamline quality processes in manufacturing and ensure adequate tact times 

Your area of expertise:  
  • + 2 years of working experience in a relevant field/ Bachelor's degree in mechatronics, mechanical or electrical engineering 
  • Advanced computer skills and advanced knowledge of MS Office 
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Bash 
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools and inspection techniques (for incoming goods) 
  • Working experience with electrical circuits, either job related or through DIY projects 
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings 
  • Attention to detail and meticulous approach to work 
  • Ability to write concise and precise reports as well as communicate them verbally 
  • Strong communication skills 
  • Experience with working with suppliers/manufacturers to resolve quality issues 
  • Advanced knowledge of English
