 About the role

As part of our Electrical Design team, you will play a crucial role in developing advanced robotic systems. Your responsibilities will include building prototypes, selecting and integrating električar components, conducting rigorous testing, and benchmarking to ensure optimal performance. Ultimately, you will bring together all these elements into the final design.

Your primary focus will be the creation of electrical schematics using the Zuken design tool. This will involve working with a wide array of electrical components, ranging from crimps and ferrules to complex wiring systems, connectors, PLCs, motor controllers, and industrial sensors. Once the schematics are finalized, you will also design the formboard layout, ensuring precise wiring harness configurations that align with the overall system requirements. A key aspect of the role involves differentiating between safety-critical and non-safety-critical elements within the machine’s circuit, making a solid understanding of safety system architecture essential to the successful execution of your tasks.

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:

    • Assemble and manufacture a range of electronic components and wiring harnesses
    • Build prototypes ranging from feasibility/Proof-of-Concept (PoC) to engineering validation
    • Design and improve wiring harnesses, transitioning from development to production-level drawings
    • Develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, enclosure arrangements, harness designs, and Bills of Materials (BOM) using tools like Zuken
    • Parametrize and script standard equipment such as networking devices, motor controllers, and drivers as part of system integration
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues, and provide suggestions for product refinement
    • Drive quality control initiatives by identifying potential improvements, developing and implementing enhanced testing methods and procedures
    • Ensure proper application, installation, and wiring of special devices, maintaining accuracy
    • Commission robots and performing final testing and validation to meet performance and safety standards in production and on-site
    • Execute equipment testing and safety tests with our robots

Your area of expertise:

    • High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or a related field
    • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in industrial manufacturing, electronics manufacturing, or installation
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical and electronic schematics, diagrams, and blueprints, with the ability to identify errors or suggest improvements
    • Solid understanding of electrical power systems and their components
    • Practical experience with electrical design and drafting tools such as Zuken E3.series, AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar platforms
    • Proficiency in using electrical instruments and mechanical tools
    • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of maintaining high standards of quality in all work processes
    • Willingness to travel for commissioning purposes

Bonus points:
    • Knowledge of industrial standards and a basic understanding of relevant norms and requirements in electrical design and wiring
    • Experience with the Zuken E3.series platform
    • Familiarity with other electrical design tools such as Autodesk Electrical, EPLAN, or similar
    • Knowledge of version control systems like Git
