About us

At Gideon, we're crafting the future of logistics, manufacturing & other industrial environments with cutting-edge AI and 3D vision-based autonomous robots. Our team is committed to automating complex operations, allowing people to shine in what they do best.

If you're ready to join us and be part of this journey, read on!

Our team consists of 100+ super-talented people, including top-notch experts in the field of hardware and software engineering, and is devoted to developing robots with a mission of making people's work easier.
We are an ambitious group of tech enthusiasts with different backgrounds, skills, and experiences, very excited and passionate about what we do! And above all, we cherish team spirit, constant learning and kindness. There is much more to learn, so we hope this piqued your curiosity!
 About the role

To support our next phase of growth, we are looking for an Autonomy Product Owner to take ownership of a core product area and help turn cutting-edge robotics into reliable, customer-ready solutions.

In this role, you will act as the link between customers, business stakeholders, and development teams. However, this is not just an administrative role; you own autonomy outcomes, validation, and decision-making for our "Trey" autonomous forklift. You are accountable for achieving and guarding core autonomy KPIs, ensuring no release ships with unknown regressions.

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:

Product Ownership & Roadmapping

  • Process Ownership: Own and manage the product development process within your assigned scope, from requirement definition to delivery
  • Backlog Management: Create, maintain, and continuously prioritize the product backlog based on business value, technical constraints, risks, and dependencies
  • Ruthless Prioritization: Maintain a KPI-driven backlog where low-value work is explicitly deprioritized. Ensure backlog items are directly tied to core company goals
  • Translation: Translate customer, business, and stakeholder needs into clear user stories, technical requirements, and development tasks

Validation, Quality & KPI Guarding

  • Guard the KPIs: Actively guard core autonomy KPIs. You are responsible for ensuring that throughput (and mission success rates are measured and protected across every release
  • Acceptance Ownership: You define what "good" means. Work with QA & Testing to define acceptance criteria, but you own the final "pass" decision and validation
  • Release Gatekeeper: Ensure no release is declared "successful" without KPI verification

Scalability & Architecture

  • Configuration Reduction: Reduce autonomy-related deployment effort. Identify top configuration drivers and drive productized solutions (defaults, automation) so that site-specific tuning becomes the exception
  • Architecture: Take responsibility for product architecture at system, feature, and component levels

Leadership & Agile Execution

  • Cross-Functional Alignment: Coordinate with interdisciplinary engineering teams (software, hardware, systems, QA) and identify cross-team dependencies before sprints start
  • Risk Management: Actively de-risk the autonomy roadmap; ensure no "unknown unknowns" surface in production without prior visibility
  • Transparency: Clearly communicate progress, priorities, and impediments to internal stakeholders; ensure no unresolved autonomy risks are hidden past one sprint

Your area of expertise:
  • Experience
    • 3+ Years: Experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a similar role within a product-driven or technology-focused environment
    • Domain Interest: Interest in robotics, autonomous systems, or complex cyber-physical product

  • Skills & Mindset
    • Technical Understanding: Ability to collaborate closely with engineering teams
    • Ownership Mindset: Proactive, ownership-driven mindset with a hands-on approach. You must be comfortable owning the "what" and the "why" of system performance
    • Structured Thinking: Strong ability to translate complex requirements into structured, actionable development work
    • Communication: Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with excellent spoken and written English
    • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field
