About the role
We’re looking for a self-starter that can be productive in a remote office and on the road with customers.
An Application Engineer acts as a consultant to customers and designs technical solutions that get implemented with world-class robots. You will uncover requirements, create proposals, present your ideas, define pilots, help refine our product roadmap, collaborate closely with our sales, customer success and engineering teams, beat the competition and have fun working in a collaborative, fast moving, high-tech environment. You can expect to learn a lot about a lot in the warehousing, logistics and manufacturing industries – from the shop floor to the top floor.
This is a remote position that requires 50-60% travel time, and the best candidates are located near Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, or Philadelphia.

Responsibilities we’ll trust you with:
- Independently performing application engineering tasks and processes
- Gathering and analyzing data sets and facts related to customers and their material handling needs and challenges
- Recommending designing, and defining robotic material handling solutions that improve efficiency, capacity, throughput, and utilization
- Peparing business cases for the successful deployment of automation solutions, giving due consideration to infrastructure, licensing, development, and support
- Understanding customer needs and identify, observe, and study their processes, problems, and possibilities
- Providing pre-sales support to the Sales team and in collaboration with the Sales team, presenting the solution to the customer
- Collaboration with customer success, support, product teams, and other relevant experts across the company
- Following the latest industry trends and identify key benefits of autonomous mobile robots in comparison to other competitive solutions
Your area of expertise:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in industrial automation, robotics, mechanical or industrial engineering, or similar field
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Knowledge of industrial automation and understanding what drives the logistics, warehousing, and manufacturing industries, as well as how autonomous mobile robots can contribute to their success and overall productivity
- Knowledge of data analysis
- Experience with structured sales, plans, budgets, pipeline management
- Experience in influencing behaviors for team members that you don't manage
- Strong communication skills, including presentation, professional writing, and negotiation
